Adsense and Adwords strategy

Can you believe it ? I signed up for Google Adsense and ran my ad in the campaign for just five minutes and received 10,895 impressions.

Google Adwords is an online program and also a method of making money from Google Ads on our site.

It allows publisher sites to display ads related to the website content. Every click is assigned a value. Accordingly, the revenue generated is earned by the website owner. AdSense lets website owners make money easily and fast without even selling anything.

On the other hand, Google Adsense allows advertisers to signup and reach their customers in the fastest and smoothest way possible. The various tools like Keyword Advisor, Ad Placement, Ads Diagnostic Tool, Conversion Tracking help us manage our campaigns easily.

Introducing video ads

Introducing the newest member of the AdSense ad family--click-to-play video ads. Video ads will compete in the same auction as text and image ads for placement on your site.Video ads open your site up to a whole new type of advertising that is engaging and highly relevant for your users.

The biggest advantage is that these ads are relevant and donot distract the reader from reading the site content. Infact they provide additional links and information. The ads are available in all formats and colors to fit the best look and placement on a web page. Google technology grasps the distinctions, so you get more targeted ads by filtering them from meta descriptions, page title and content.

Just apply for it if you have a site getting more than half a million hits a day. Google takes care of the rest.

  • Video ads have been around for a long time Varun, and take it from me, they suck. I mean for the end user, not for the advertiser. Check out games.net for example. Try running any of their videos. You will get a crappy ad video first, which will last as long as it wants to and theres no way to skip it.

The advertiser can only hope that the "half a million" hits remain that way.

And of course, you'll get your impressions from the forced ads, but you might just lose your audience.

  • Rohit, I was talking about the video ads by google. They say that these ads are content relevant and don't take up bandwidth or create distractions because they will only play when user clicks on play button.

Practically, ads are one of the survival methods for a site owner.

  • When you refer to your 'campaign', what do you mean?

  • The Google Ad Program, also known as AdWords is broken down into campaigns.

Each campaign (created by user inside the ad manager) has a different ad title, message and URL focusing your target users in a special way.

The main goal is to create an attractive and attention seeking campaign so that you receive the highest no. of users on your website.

    Hope this helps.
